Privacy privacy@mitra.gr

Introduction

It supplements Mitra's Privacy Policy and does not replace the privacy notice or terms of the business sending the communication.

1. Who sends WhatsApp messages

The business identified in the relevant WhatsApp profile is the sender of its communications and normally determines their purpose.

Mitra supplies technology that may help the business receive and route messages, provide customer support, manage appointments or service requests, automate business-specific responses and transfer conversations to authorised staff.

Mitra is not the provider or seller of the business's underlying service, appointment, reservation or ticket unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. When businesses may contact you

Businesses using Mitra are responsible for complying with applicable WhatsApp messaging requirements and applicable law.

Depending on the communication, this may require the business to:

  • have your telephone number lawfully;
  • have appropriate permission to send the relevant type of message;
  • identify itself clearly;
  • use approved WhatsApp templates where required;
  • respect applicable customer-service messaging windows;
  • honour opt-out requests.

3. Automated and AI-assisted responses

Some responses may be created, drafted or routed using automation or artificial intelligence.

Mitra's AI functionality is intended for the relevant business's configured customer-support, appointment, reservation, ticket or service workflow.

It is not intended to operate as an unrestricted general-purpose AI assistant through WhatsApp.

AI-generated information may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.

Where appropriate, you may request a direct support route from the relevant business.

Mitra does not use WhatsApp conversations to train its own general-purpose AI models.

4. Opting out

You may ask a business to stop sending marketing or other non-essential communications.

Clear requests such as STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, ΔΙΑΚΟΠΗ, or an equivalent unambiguous request should be treated as an opt-out where applicable.

Certain strictly necessary transactional communications relating to a service you requested may continue where permitted by law.

5. Appointments, reservations, tickets and refunds

The relevant business, not Mitra, is responsible for its:

  • prices;
  • availability;
  • services;
  • appointments;
  • cancellations;
  • rescheduling;
  • no-show rules;
  • ticket conditions;
  • refunds;
  • fulfilment.

Mitra may transmit information or requests but does not determine whether the business owes a refund.

6. Personal data

Messages may be accessible to authorised users of the relevant business and may be processed by Mitra and approved service providers to provide the communication service.

The relevant business normally remains the primary contact regarding why the conversation information is processed and how long it is retained.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, financial credentials, identity-document numbers or other unnecessary highly sensitive information through WhatsApp.
